Self-Portrait Fall Winter 2016

At Self-Portrait Fall 2016 presentation clothes were as cool as ever, but with palette cues from the paintings of British figurative artist Francis Bacon and an array of unexpected details. Designer Han Chong took a more organic approach this time, opting for narrow, body-skimming silhouettes instead of his popular nipped waists and full skirts. Chong used the edges of lace to create graphic, uneven hemlines; and mixed fluid silk with lace appliqués for a rich, multidimensional look. And if you thought Self-Portrait was just for accessible dresses crafted mainly in lace and guipure, Chong also included bombers, parkas, and trousers.
