Michael Kors Fall 2017
Strength was an essential part of Michael Kors Fall 2017 message, alongside seduction. Michael clearly wanted this whole collection to be about autority and sensuality combined. More than a few looks owed a debt to the excessive Eighties, when «power bitches» ruled the New York scene. His approach to tailoring was playful—deconstructed, Kors said it was crucial to build an argument to buy into every single piece, the thinking being that his customer hardly needs a new camel coat or a black peacoat. He added clever slits to the pockets of the former, to keep it firmly in place on the shoulders and the arms; he played with proportions, he topped the looks with pointed-toe shoes. There were plenty of wearable camel, olive and grey tones, but mixed in were slinky, gold leopard-print dresses and sparkly, deep bordeaux jumpsuits. Whether in shaggy black fox with shoulder cutouts or in spotted green mink, the Kors woman will have plenty of fur options for staying warm next season.
