Did Alessandro Michele name a bag after Sir Elton John?
Did Alessandro Michele name this Dionysus after Elton John?
As reported by Vogue, the singer took the opportunity to share his views on the Italian label at the latest GQ Men of the Year awards 2015. «When Tom Ford left Gucci it all went very pear-shaped, a bit like myself. You could go in there and fire a cannon through Gucci because the clothes were so f***ing awful,» he said, having introduced Michele as «someone who’s actually got some talent in fashion». Thanks to Michele injecting energy, colour and passion into the house, he added, «now you have to fight your way into Gucci.»
«Fashion needs it because it’s as dull as f***ing dishwater at the moment,» he continued.
Product details: The Dionysus shoulder bag with the now defining textured tiger head closure. A tribute sequin «Elton» embroidery contrasted by floral appliqués. The layers of appliqués over the GG pattern is an essential part of Alessandro Michele’s designs. The sliding chain strap can be worn multiple ways, changing between a shoulder and a top handle bag. The orange snakeskin adds a second dimension in a bright contrast color. Available HERE
