Style influencers are obsessed with this horse-print dress
«For Pre-Spring 2019, I was thinking about watching old Westerns on TV growing up in Denmark. This was the 80s, when there was literally just one TV channel, and on Sunday afternoons they’d always show a cowboy movie. There was nothing else to do, you were trapped watch- ing this film. I wanted a little of Julie Christie in Robert Altman’s McCabe & Mrs Miller too. I love that movie and the idea of all those ruffles and Seventies slouchiness. We shot the collection on Emma Rosenzweig. I’ve known Emma for the longest time. The first time I saw her years ago in the street I was like: ‘Who is that girl?’ She is such a Copenhagen girl, true to herself. Her style is all her own and more than anything she is such a talented filmmaker. There’s no one I’d rather be dancing with in the kitchen late on a Saturday night. Bringing her into the collection made so much sense to me.»
– Ditte Reffstrup, Creative Director, Ganni

Ganni’s creative director, Ditte Reffstrup, draws inspiration from childhood memories watching Western films for the label’s latest collection, which includes this aptly named white Weston dress. It’s crafted from lightweight cotton poplin patterned with a brown horse print and shaped to a voluminous silhouette decorated with pintuck pleats along the front and back yoke. Style it with chunky footwear at the weekend.
