Lupita Nyong’o covers Vogue US july 2014 wearing Prada

Oscar-winning actress Lupita Nyong’o is Vogue US july 2014 cover star. The 31-year-old actress becomes the second black African woman to ever grace the cover of the magazine. The other is Ethiopian model Liya Kebede.

The head-turning fashion star appears in an eight pages photo story editorial and interview shot by Mikael Jansson and styled by Phyllis Posnik wearing pieces by Vera Wang, Rodarte, Proenza Schouler and Givenchy. The session took place last may in the oasis sanctuary of the Ksar Char-Bagh, in Marrakech.

July is normally the worst selling month of the year for fashion magazines but things might turn out differently this year with Lupita leading the way.
