Ahead of the big show, our EIC, @Lady_KKZ, is diving into her vast #CDG archive (she’s an addict, what can we say?) to bring you “20 Days of Comme des Garçons,” during which she’ll call out some of her most prized acquisitions. Here's what she has to say about the above look: “CDG may be known for all black, all the time, but Rei Kawakubo has been splashing her runways with quirky floral prints for decades. This particular pattern popped up on look 20 of CDG’s famed Fall 2012 '2D' collection, in which the designer asserted that ‘the future’s in two dimensions.’ This felt especially poignant as the collection debuted during the dawn of the Insta-era, i.e. when everyone really started to view the world through their iPhones.” #countdowntothemet #20daysofcommedesgarcons @hermie15

Here's what she has to say about today's look: "This dress is from CDG's Spring 2015 'Blood and Roses' collection—one of my favorites. #ReiKawakubo sent sculptural blood-red creations down the runway that were dripping in flowers, resembled blooms, or recalled the the human heart, replete with ventricles. The jacket is from the designer's whimsical Fall 2009 'Wonderland' collection.
