TopShop conquered the #METGALA

Chanel Iman, Joudan Dunn, Toni Garrn and Kendall Jenner all surprisingly wore TopShop custom gowns at Met Gala 2014. Before that, the only lowcost dresses we got to see on a red carpet were H&M ones. Remember Penélope Cruz at Vanity Fair post-Oscars 2014 party or Helen Hunt back in 2013 at the Oscars too. Ginnifer Goodwin attended the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner in Washington in an H&M Exclusive Glamour Collection gown and Michelle Williams looked like a million bucks at the BAFTAs 2012.

At the end of the day it’s all part of some sort of high-end tactict in order to generate lots of buzz and excitement amongst end consumers. Whether it works or not, we’ll see.
