Chloé Fall 2018: the accessories you’ll want next season
At a preview of her second collection for Chloé, Natacha Ramsay-Levi name-checked actresses of a ’70s vintage like Anjelica Huston, Sissy Spacek, Isabelle Huppert, and Stéphane Audran—she’s well-versed in cinema—and spoke of the magnetism of their auras. This collection was intrepid and ambitious, Ramsay-Levi has definitely moved the brand away from the bohemian festival-chick-on-holiday vibes of her predecessor. There is a lot of skin-baring in the collection, a feature that is more easily pulled off on the runway than in real life. Balancing her experimental, editorial inclinations were the details; the Chloé logo socks looked like money in the bank, as did the chunky jewelry.
«For her second outing for the label, Natacha Ramsay-Levi created further distance from boho romance in an intrepid, if at times overwrought, collection.» (Bridget Foley. WWD)
Incorporating the signature edge we saw from her at Balenciaga while maintaining Clare Waight Keller’s sense of lightness, Natacha’s debut Spring Summer 2018 collection includes embroidered velvet suits, the new ‘Rylee’ motorcycle boots and a number of much-anticipated It bags, including the Drew Bijou and the Roy, comprised of two mini suede pouches that you can detach from each other.
