EXCLUSIVE AT NET-A-PORTER. Cecilie Bahnsen’s mattelassé silk-blend dress is a perfect example of how the designer romanticizes simple silhouettes. This one features a wraparound bodice with pretty cap sleeves and falls to a voluminous, A-line tiered skirt. It turns to reveal an open back, secured with double tie fastenings that can be styled into pretty bows. Wear yours with chunky sandals. (Product description via NET-A-PORTER)

About the collaboration: While Ganni is on a path to world domination, two of Denmark’s other design stars are shining a spotlight on Copenhagen Fashion Week with a capsule collaboration celebrating their feminine universe and friendship.

Cecilie Bahnsen and Sophie Bille Brahe first met at London’s Royal College of Art. The latter fine jewellery designer watched the former womenswear protegé rising up the ranks in the year below her, and recounts that wonderful bubbling feeling of meeting a new friend. “I soon realised that Cecilie was a very special person; her softness, talent and stubbornness are truly unique,” Bille Brahe tells Vogue, before describing Bahnsen’s fashion as classic yet modern, and mirroring her own commitment to beautiful and luxurious materials in her astronomy-inspired stacking jewellery.

Two Masters degrees later and a lengthy list of A-grade stockists between them, the pair is joining forces on a 22-piece capsule collection for Net-a-porter.com. Launching in line with Copenhagen Fashion Week, the black and white edit comprises open-back dresses, beaded trainers, crochet bags, decadent headbands and delicate earrings originating from the creatives’ “feminine design universe”. It’s “friendship and pearls” in one neatly packaged capsule says Bahnsen. Translation: catnip for anyone who follows either brand’s painstakingly curated yet wholly whimsical Instagram accounts.
